The grain vending machine market is relatively new. We want to be flexible to any legislation or customer demands that may be placed on our machines. That is why we went for a software-first approach that allows us to change any aspect of the touchscreen interface should the need arise. We believe that this makes your machine effectively future-proof, and can give you significant advantages as an owner.
One of the key advantages of our approach is that you don't need to continually check the fill level of your machine in person. You will receive email updates with every purchase that lists how much product remains in the hopper. If you don't want to be notified with every purchase that's fine too, the machine can be set to only email you if there's a problem or if it needs to be filled. Because your 5000 series machine keeps track of how much product it has, you can have confidence that it won't go empty and sell the customer air. This comes standard at no extra charge with all of our machines.
Your 5000 series machine sells bulk feed progressively at any amount like a gas pump. Because of this, the price you charge is adjustable with just one tap of the touchscreen. No need to re-calibrate your machine every time you set the price, the software takes care of that for you. Another notable feature is the ability to set the minimum purchase amount if a customer is paying with a card. If you want to encourage customers to buy a particular amount of bulk feed, you can even set what price a customer will see when they first walk up to your machine.
Ensuring your vending machine vends accurately is good for both you and the customer. Calibrating a bulk vending machine has always been a tedious process in the past involving repetitive math and multiple test vends. With the new 5000 series machine, let the software take care of all of that for you. Just place a 5 gallon bucket under the chute and press start test vend. Weigh the amount of bulk feed vended into the 5 gallon bucket and enter this into the machine. After this, your machine is calibrated for all amounts and you're done (yes it's that simple).
The Turbo Feed 5000 series vending machine has the memory of an elephant. You can keep track of anything that happens with your machine and have confidence that nothing will slip past you. If your machine should encounter a problem such as a jammed dollar bill, it will notify you over email, record it in a log, and make every attempt to un-jam the bill on its own.
We want to give owners complete control of their machines. From this panel you can restart your machine or even reset it to all the factory default settings. One key feature of this panel is the ability to update your software over the Internet. If your machine is connected to the Internet it can receive any available software updates directly from Turbo Feed. This way, we can add new features or correct any problems that your machine may encounter.
We weren't kidding when we said a Turbo Feed machine is an intelligent grain selling robot. The real world is a harsh place, cellular signals can go down, banking networks can have problems and customers can jam bills into the acceptor. Your Turbo Feed machine is designed to make every attempt to fix these problems on its own without the need for human intervention. Let's say for example the card payment network has gone down for your machine. The machine will immediately shoot you an email informing you of what has happened and set the home screen to display to customers that it is currently only accepting cash payment.
We are currently in the process of developing a mobile app that allows you to adjust the price and settings of your machine remotely. Imagine a future where you have four or five Turbo Feed vending machines and can adjust your price to match the local market all without visiting a single machine. Within this app, you can monitor your vending machine through a live video feed at all hours of the day.
Humidity and heat are the greatest enemies of outdoor electronics. Our company is based in South Georgia and we are no strangers to the demands that are placed on electronics in these conditions. That is why all of the wiring harness of our machine is automotive-grade and water protected with rubber-sealed locking connectors. The main enclosure for the machine computer and payment acceptance has a rubber gasket to help prevent any water from intruding. Even our first prototype machine continued to sell bulk feed through Hurricane Irma.
We wanted to make sure your machine stands the test of time, thats why all of the sheet-metal exterior is industrial-grade powder coated or stainless steel. The touchscreen monitor is shock and water resistant and is similar to what you would find on an ATM machine. We even custom designed a solid-state motor controller that offers a long service life and allows the machine to reverse its auger.
Our core design focus was to have a great experience for the customer, to do this we knew that there had to be a way for the customer to control the dispensing of feed from the auger. This is why we placed a button on the chute handle that allows the customer to stop and start the auger of the machine during a purchase. Should any problem arise with the physical button on the chute handle, there is a touchscreen backup button to start and stop the auger as well. We find that giving the owner this control helps prevent accidental spillage and is a memorable experience that encourages return visits.
From fully RGB LED lighting to remote camera monitoring, we are working on some really futuristic options. For example, one of the largest unnecessary costs associated with owning a grain vending machine is the power bill. Grain vending machines don't use much power when they are not vending and only have a peak draw for a short amount of time. Because of this, we are working on a solar powered option that will allow you to place a Turbo Feed in remote areas without access to the power grid.
